In local news, the Mt Cranmore Ski Mobile Lift was retired.  This lift had been in service for over 50 years going back to the 1930s with the establishment of Mt Cranmore.  The lift was made possible by local visionaries such as Harvey Gibson and Carroll Reed.  The Carroll Reed Ski shop was a fixture North Conway Center for decades, closing in 1996 after the chain of Carroll Reed stores was purchased.  Carroll Reed passed away in 1995 at the age of 89

  July 1990 at the condo pool.  Some points of interest;
  • No pool furniture.  Back in these days if you wanted a chair or lounge, one brought it with them
  • Notice the original wooded pool fence
  • Notice the building color.  This was the original color of Northface.  The color was referred as "rustic brown" by some or "The Barracks" by others

Dorothy Lowry was an original unit owner and the first association President.  Dorothy and her husband (Bob) sold their unit when they decided to move from Massachusetts to Bartlett.

Dorothy started "At Your Service" which was a weekly check of a condo unit for $10 per week and also did cleanings.  Dorothy offered to restock with standard rental supplies for the cost of $6.50 per visit!
