Owner update Email. Identifies the 3 issues. Ironically, a flip flop and sends the information that the president disagreed with in the 12 Jan and 23 Feb (Lang/Venditti) emails. Also states Bldgs 1 and 4 should not burn unless identified areas are addressed with photos/documentation sent to management. |

Bergeron proposed course of action to do selective demo of a sample unit to determine overall conditions. Estimated cost was $6,000. |
|
9 |
Bergeron report after selective demo. -Thimble was a double walled “metalbestos”. While manufacturer is unknown (as required clearance specified there), similar materials are 6” to combustibles (thus while not stated in report, it appears Northface units would not be code compliant and thimbles would have to be moved to the rated distance -None of the wood studs in the sample unit showed signs of pyrolysis -No one inch airgap that could be used to reduce the clearance limits from connector pipe to combustibles (18 to 6 inches per code). |
